Ministry Update
May 11th, 2009
I just finished my undergraduate degree from the University of Alabama at Birmingham in Marketing and Human Resource Management. It is a wonderful feeling to know that my diplomas are soon to be in the mail and will be something I can finally see.  God has done many amazing things in my life since my last email. He has opened the door for me to attend seminary at Samford University’s Beeson Divinity School in the fall and has opened the door for me to now serve on staff at First Baptist Pelham as the Associate Youth Minister.
It is exciting to see how God is opening all of these doors at once. Please be in prayer for me as I am still transitioning into my role at First Baptist Pelham. I am going to be working with the middle school group, which is exciting and a challenge at the same time. Pray that I will be able to faithfully teach the truths of scripture in creative ways and that I will be able to quickly get to know the students and be able to effectively minister to them.
I am leaving next Monday for a two-week trip to East Asia with the College Ministry at Brook Hills. We will be traveling to the 10/40 window and will be sharing Jesus with people who have never heard of the gospel before. Be in prayer for our team as we are traveling to an area where we will be consistently monitored as we minister. Pray that God will open the hearts and minds of the people we will encounter to the gospel. Pray for safety and wisdom for our team as we are going into this challenging spiritual environment.
Be in prayer for me this summer as I continue to serve with Student Life Ministries and will be continuing to disciple students through the small group that God has allowed me to lead for several years now. Pray for a continued desire for me to passionately chase after Jesus and for strength during the coming busy summer season.
Thanks again for your prayers and support! Let me know how I can be praying for you by sending me an email. God bless!
