Ben Birdsong

Ben Birdsong serves as a writer, speaker, and minister based in Birmingham, Alabama. He currently serves as the Missions Minister at Christ Church Birmingham. Ben is also an adjunct professor at Birmingham Theological Seminary. Ben is also the chief creative for Birdsong Innovations and Your Youth Ministry Curriculum.

Ben’s goal is to help partner with you and your ministry in reaching your goals by coming alongside you to help you with your publishing project, ministry idea, or deliver clear, creative, and biblical content for your event.

Ben has served in student ministry for 12 years both in local church and the para-church settings. He is the author of the devotional books Words from the Cross: 7 Statements to Transform Your Life and James: Everyday Faith.

Ben has bachelors degrees in Marketing and Human Resource Management from the University of Alabama at Birmingham, a Masters of Divinity degree from Samford University’s Beeson Divinity School, and a Doctor of Ministry student focusing in Ministry to Emerging Generations from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary. Ben was licensed and ordained to the ministry at the Church at Brook Hills in July of 2009.

In addition to serving in the local church, Ben has also served as an advisory team member for the Scott Dawson Evangelistic Association, as the Shelby County Network President for First Priority of Alabama, on the youth minister advisory board for the YouthMinistry360 publishing company, and on the youth evangelism planning team with the Alabama Baptist State Board of Missions. He currently serves on the board for First Priority Greater Birminghamand East Lake Initiative.

Ben is married to Liz, who teaches middle school English/Language Arts and serves as a cheerleading coach. They are parents to two British dogs, Lady, a King Charles Cavalier, and Lily, a Welsh Corgi. Ben enjoys reading, writing, watching movies, and good conversations over a drink at a local coffee shop.
